Plagne Soleil, as the name suggests is the sunniest of the resorts in La Plagne. It is a purpose built resort with wood clad buildings, built to integrate into the beautiful mountain scenery in the heart of La Plagne ski area between Belle Plagne and Plagne Centre.
Plagne Soleil was built in 1990s and is a car free resort. It is built around a small square with ski hire shops, supermarkets, newsagents and excellent restaurants and bars.
Plagne Soleil offers excellent doorstep skiing and is well connected to the rest of La Plagne ski area by a number of chair lifts and a blue run which takes down to Plagne Bellecote and beyond.
Skiing in Plagne Soleil is mostly through above the tree line with plenty of long winding runs through the forests and picturesque villages of Montalbert and Montchavin Les Coches. There are plenty of blue runs for beginners and are also catered to by free lifts, whereas intermediates and experts can through to the more challenging slopes in La Plagne and Paradiski through a number of well connected lifts in the La Plagne centre.
There are a number of ski schools within the La Plagne ski area and kids are also well cared for at various crèches and kindergartens available in the area. Most hotels and chalets also offer these facilities at an extra cost.
Aime la Plagne is one of the highest ski resorts (2000m) in La Plagne facing Mont Blanc.
Belle Plagne is one of the 10 ski villages under the La Plagne ski area.
La Plagne has a great range of slopes, from beginner to expert, and offers beautiful scenery.
