The resort altitude is about 1850m but the lift altitudes range from 1550m to 3450m. 142 slopes in Val d'Isere are served by around 90 lifts. These lifts also connect to Tignes and other resorts in the Espace Killy area. Val d'Isere also offers plenty of free lifts and runs for beginners but experts can test their ability on the "La Face" run.
In Val d'Isere, 30% of the slopes are for beginners, 50% for the intermediates and 20% are for the experts.
Ski Val d'Isere ski resort offers a number of ski schools; some of them are Progression Ski, Evolution 2, Mountain Masters. All of these ski schools offer good lessons for all levels at competitive rates.
Val d'Isere ski holidays also cater to families. Most hotels and chalets offer child care facilities on site but there are other creches as well in the area. Some of them are Le Petit Poucet, Le Village d'Enfants and ESF. These creches cater to different age groups, so please check beforehand.
