
Les Houches is situated in the Chamonix Mr Blanc ski region, and boasts a variety of slopes to suit all tastes and abilities. Les Houches is a resort in its own right, which sits at 1010m, with slopes extending to 1900m. The resort offers a good selection of bars, restaurants, cafés and good off-piste skiing and snowboarding, however the majority of accommodation and facilities lie in the main resort of Chamonix.
Les Houches is great for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders, with plenty of blue and red runs. Les Houches is also a good destination if you are travelling in a mixed-ability group, as it has a wide variety of slopes of varying difficulty and something to keep everyone entertained! Despite its low altitude, Les Houches does not suffer from lack of snow, due to the 110 snow canons in the area.
There are lots of ski schools operating in the Chamonix area. There is also a wide range of childcare facilities, including the Panda Club nursery
Brévent Flégère is relatively quiet compared to some of the busier nearby slopes of Chamonix.
Le Domaine de Balme, previously known as Le Tour, is a ski area situated in the resort of Chamonix.
Les Grand Montets is the largest and most popular ski area in Chamonix.
