The best known city in Catalonia is the vibrant city of Barcelona. There's an abundance of shops and restaurants with the Ramblas quarter of the city being one of the most popular for dining. Both Santander and Bilbao are located on the North-Western coast of Spain and are easily accessed by ferry from the UK. Although a busy port, Santander has some lovely beaches and a visit to the Guggenheim museum is a must for those who stop in Bilbao.
