The Languedoc-Roussillon region of France reaches from the Pyrenees and the Spanish border to the sparkling seas of the Mediterranean.
The region is a real mix of popular seaside resorts such as Séte and Cap d'Agde and medieval architecture - much of which can be seen in the historic city of Carcassonne.
To the South of the Languedoc-Roussillon is the Catalan region with Perpginan, Argéles sur Mer and St Cyprien. Here you'll find a wonderful mix of both French and Spanish cultures and traditions.
